Raine's second grade music program was last night. He was "chicken little" and very proud of it! I was a little concerned that I'd have made a chicken costume only to have him refuse to wear it. But, I should have known my little ham would love the attention. It was one of the most enjoyable kids' programs I've attended.
PS - Yes, I know I'm a slacker. Lots of past news to give. Yes - we're in the house. Yes - I still need to post photos. No - I'm not promising anything. :)
Our loan is now secured and so the work on the house has begun!
We now have a driveway! A construction driveway, but much more than we had before.
Also, they cleared the home site of trees. It's so hard to remove trees around here, since they are so hard to grow. But, if we want to build without trees in the way, they had to go. We did pick a spot where not too many trees would be killed.
Raine took this photo of himself among others. This one turned out kind of cute. You can just see the mischief in him. :)
We went to two University of Texas baseball games last weekend. Again, it was cool the first game on Saturday. Sunday was not so bad. I'm so ready for real Texas Spring weather!
The kids are finally old enough to enjoy going to a ball game. Of course, it helps that two Boerne High School alums, Russell Moldenhauer and Bradley Suttle are now playing at UT. The kids got to run the bases after the game and get autographs from our two favorite players. It was a great experience for them both.
We went to visit my mom and sisters this weekend. My nieces are getting so big and cute. We actually got a pretty good picture of the cousins. Cailin had eaten brownie batter and the camera really picked up on it. I didn't notice it when we had them posing. Weird - huh?
Sydney is at the absolute cutest age. She's about 6 months old. She doesn't have stranger anxiety yet, so you can hold her all you want. She can still up well and is just happy to be alive. Perfect.
Sorry about the lack of posts. No excuses.
